Smoked dead cat?

Have you seen the anti-smoking ad comparing cigarettes to a dead cat?  I guess because the dead cat (if preserved?) and cigarettes both contain formaldehyde.  Trace amounts in the cigarettes.  Like trace amounts found in furniture.  So wouldn't it be more accurate to compare smoking cigarettes to smoking furniture..?  No, that would be ridiculous.  And mis-leading.
